All of the animals below are available and waiting to be adopted by you! We do not have a shelter for you to visit, because all of our animals stay in foster homes until they are adopted. In order to meet our animals, you must be an approved adopter. Read how can you become an approved adopter below.
How to Adopt
1. Fill out the Adopter Application Form and mail it to the address listed on the bottom of the form. You can click here to download this form, or email us your name and address and we will mail you a copy.
2. Once we receive the application, we'll start checking your references and we will call you to make an appointment for your home visit. The home visit helps us get a feel for you, what you're looking for in a critter and helps us to ensure that all ARC critters are going into a caring, loving home.
That's it! Once you complete these two steps successfully, you will be an approved ARC Adopter!! At this point, you will meet the ARC critter you're applying for and if all goes well, you'll be signing the final agreement to take your new companion home.
Fees
Many of our animals are sponsored and have a lower adoption fee. If they have a reduced adoption fee, it will be noted under their picture on their Petfinder page.
Dogs and puppies: The basic adoption fee is $150. Please note, this fee may vary depending on the animal. This fee includes the spay or neuter, a general 4-in-1 vaccination, rabies vaccination, worming and the heartworm check. All dogs are kept current on heartworm and flea preventative while they are in our care. We use Interceptor and Comforti on our dogs. Each dog comes with an awesome adoption kit, including a collar and leash, toys, treats, food samples, coupons, a free first groom from Barks & Bubbles, 50% off dog training from Take Back the Leash Canine Academy, coupons from Pedigree, a free day of doggy daycare from Dagny & Dexter's Doggy Daycare, a free order of dog cookies from B's Barkery, 20% off of your new dog's supplies at Suncoast Aquariums & Pet Supplies and one free pet sitting visit from Lucky Paws Pet Sitting, LLC!
Cats and kittens: The basic adoption fee is $75. Please note, this fee may vary depending on the animal. This includes the spay or neuter, a general 3-in-1 vaccination and a feline leukemia and feline AIDS test. All cats are kept current on flea preventative while in our care. Each cat comes with their very own adoption kit including a free first groom from Barks & Bubbles, toys, treats, food samples, valuable coupons, 20% off of your new cat's supplies at Suncoast Aquariums & Pet Supplies and one free pet sitting visit from Lucky Paws Pet Sitting, LLC!
Except where noted, all of our animals are spayed/neutered and completely vetted before they're adopted, saving you the time, effort and cost. Many of our animals are sponsered and have a reduced adoption fee!
If you would like to adopt from ARC, but don't see an animal that interests you at the moment, please still start the adoption process. This way, when the perfect animal does come along, you will be considered a pre-approved ARC Adopter.
